Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls. No activity is planned for today. After coming back from the drive, have dinner. Overnight stay in Jawai.

Jawai Leopard Safari offers a unique and thrilling wildlife experience in the rugged hills of Rajasthan, India. Unlike traditional safaris in dense forests, Jawai’s open rocky terrain provides an exceptional opportunity to spot elusive leopards in their natural habitat. The dramatic landscape features granite boulders, caves, and scrubby vegetation, creating a striking contrast with the serene Jawai Bandh (dam) and its tranquil waters. This region is also home to a harmonious coexistence between wildlife and local Rabari tribes, making it a fascinating blend of nature, culture, and adventure.

Located at the junction of the Aravali and Vindhya hill ranges, this is one of the finest places to view wild animals, especially as they are used to being stared at here. The park covers an area of approximately 400 sq km, and if combined with the area of Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary area, is around 500 sq km.

Ranthambore National Park is dotted with structures that remind you of bygone eras. There are numerous water bodies scattered all across the park, which provide perfect relief to the wild animals during the scorching hot days in summer. A huge fort, after which the park is named, towers over the park atop a hill. There are many ruins of bygone eras scattered all over the jungle, which give it a unique, wonderful and mixed flavour of nature, history and wildlife. The national park in Rajasthan is primarily known as the home to the Royal Bengal Tigers. Other than this, the national park also has a rich population of Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Common or Hanuman langurs, Macaques, Jackals, Jungle cats, Caracals, Sloth bears, Black bucks, Rufous-tailed Hare, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Common Palm Civets or Toddy cat, fruit bats, Desert Cats, Fives striped Palm Squirrels, Indian False Vampires, Indian Flying Foxes, Indian Foxes, Indian Gerbils, Indian Mole Rats, Indian Porcupines, Long-eared Hedgehogs, Ratels, Small Indian Mongoose, Small Indian Civets and Common mongoose & 35 species of reptiles and 320 species of birds.

We get up early to catch our train to Bharatpur, 12903 – Golden Temple Mail, timing 8:30 – 10:58. After reaching Bharatpur, Our Taxi will pick up us from the Railway station and drop us at our comfortable homestay.

Keoladeo National Park, located in the State of Rajasthan, is an important wintering ground of Palaearctic migratory waterfowl and is renowned for its large congregation of non-migratory resident breeding birds. A green wildlife oasis situated within a populated human-dominated landscape, some 375 bird species and a diverse array of other life forms have been recorded in this mosaic of grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps and wetlands of just 2,873 ha. This ‘Bird Paradise’ was developed in a natural depression wetland that was managed as a duck shooting reserve at the end of the 19th century. While hunting has ceased and the area was declared a national park in 1982, its continued existence is dependent on a regulated water supply from a reservoir outside the park boundary. The park’s well-designed system of dykes and sluices provides areas of varying water depths which are used by various avifaunal species.

Due to its strategic location in the middle of the Central Asian migratory flyway and the presence of water, large congregations of ducks, geese, coots, pelicans and waders arrive in the winter. The park was the only known wintering site of the central population of the critically endangered Siberian Crane and also serves as a wintering area for other globally threatened species such as the Greater Spotted Eagle and Imperial Eagle. During the breeding season, the most spectacular heronry in the region is formed by 15 species of herons, ibis, cormorants, spoonbills and storks, where in a well-flooded year over 20,000 birds nest.

After check-in at our homestay, we take some rest. After lunch, we go for a half-day birding in Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Overnight stay in Bharatpur.
